Virtue Poker, the world’s first fully regulated blockchain-based peer-to-peer poker network, has teamed up with the newly opened Binance NFT marketplace to offer a one-of-a-kind NFT for Phil Ivey, a member of the Virtue Poker Team.
This collaboration, dubbed “The Phil Ivey Golden Ticket NFT,” will include the first and only Phil Ivey Binance Smart Chain based NFT, as well as an entry into a Celebrity Poker Tournament featuring Ethereum Co-Founder Joe Lubin, NBA Hall of Famer Paul Pierce, YouTube sensation Mr. Beast, and Hollywood actor Vince Vaughn.
While the popularity of NFTs has skyrocketed in 2021, the industry’s primary focus has been on the item’s rarity and the reputation of the artist or firm that created it. Virtue Poker and Binance NFT Marketplace hope to bring a new perspective to the burgeoning NFT business with this collaboration: a real-world once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Phil Ivey states, “I’ve been working with the Virtue Poker Team for almost three years.” “I’m delighted to take this next step with them and the Binance NFT Marketplace, and I’m also looking forward to meeting and getting to know the future holder of my NFT.”
The NFT auction will take place on July 27th, 2021, on the Binance NFT Marketplace, and is an exciting step forward for Binance as it works to penetrate the fast-growing NFT market. The tournament will take place in August on Virtue Poker, with the winner receiving a slot in the 2021 World Series of Poker Main Event in October in Las Vegas, as well as a $50,000 donation to the charity of their choice.
Virtue Poker was founded by ConsenSys in 2016 and has since received various rounds of funding from Pantera Capital, Fenbushi Capital, ConsenSys, and other notable investors. DFG Group, Digital Strategies, Flurry Capital, and JRR were among the supporters in the most recent Private Sale, which took place in April 2021 and raised $5 million.
