The9 Ltd., a Chinese gaming company that switched to cryptocurrency mining earlier this year, has formed an ecosystem collaboration with Polygon and Protocol Labs on The9’s non-fungible token (NFT) platform NFTSTAR and GameFi play-to-earn projects.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the company stated that NFTSTAR and The9’s GameFi projects will prioritize Polygon as the first priority of public blockchain to support technical operation and maintenance.
The trio will also discuss the formation of a GameFi fund, which will seek promising GameFi projects to invest in and provide financial and technical assistance to.
Meanwhile, China’s largest search engine Baidu’s blockchain arm, Xuper, has joined the NFT bandwagon. It announced in a social media post on Thursday that it is releasing a music NFT. Notably, Xuper stated that it is investigating opportunities in metaverses.
