According to a post on the OpenSea official YouTube channel, the NFT marketplace OpenSea launched a mobile app for iOS and Android users on Thursday.
Users can connect their OpenSea profile to the mobile app to discover new works, save works to favorites, and filter NFT searches based on criteria such as category, name, collection, and creator. Users can also view NFT collection statistics and obtain links to exclusive releases.
OpenSea has not announced the new app on their more popular Twitter or other channels, and it is unclear whether the app is in beta testing. By press time, OpenSea had not responded to a request for comment.
The launch of an OpenSea mobile app comes just a day after the marketplace’s head of product, Nate Chastain, was asked to resign after allegations surfaced that he traded on the site using insider information.
OpenSea was the first to surpass $1 billion in monthly trading volume in August, and it now accounts for the vast majority of September’s NFT trading volume.
