• Elon Musk has expressed interest in hosting a Dogecoin node in space (while also teasing Tesla’s Bitcoin adoption)

  • Elon Musk’s appearance at the Crypto Council for Innovation’s ‘The B Word’ conference reverberated widely in the mainstream media and on Twitter, as the Tesla and SpaceX CEO revealed the composition of his crypto holdings, softly lifting Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Dogecoin (DOGE) values.

The most well-known crypto influencer took part in a discussion about Bitcoin energy usage and its potential to become the future peer-to-peer cash with Jack Dorsey, the CEO of payments company Square and social media platform Twitter, and Cathie Wood, the founder, and CEO of investment management firm Ark Invest.

    Musk’s crypto wallet’s holy trinity

Musk disclosed that he personally owns Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Dogecoin while verifying that both Tesla and SpaceX own Bitcoin.

Musk described himself as an “overall supporter of Bitcoin” who wants to see it prosper, saying, “I might pump but I don’t dump.”

As Musk revealed why he is optimistic about the beloved meme token, Dogecoin appears to give the spirit touch to his crypto wallet.

“The Doge community is irreverent and has wonderful memes,” Musk said, adding that “the most ironic and amusing ending would be Dogecoin, which started as a joke becoming the world currency.”

The Energy Conundrum in Crypto Mining While reaffirming his support for cryptocurrency in general, he indicated that when Bitcoin mining becomes more energy efficient, Tesla will likely return to accepting bitcoin for transactions.

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk stated, “There is a trend toward more than 50% renewables – in that event, Tesla would resume accepting Bitcoin.”

He also teased a concept of a space heater that could be used as an Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Doge mining node, which sparked more debate on Twitter. He revealed that he had already proposed to put a Bitcoin node in a Starlink terminal, a satellite internet constellation being built by SpaceX, which would give more people access to run Bitcoin.
