Dolce & Gabbana will debut its own NFT line next month, following in the footsteps of neighboring Italian fashion house Gucci. Gucci’s recent triumph, where its NFT named Gucci Aria sold for $256,000 at Christie’s auction house, inspired D&G.
Collezione Genesi, D&G’s NFT line, will be available on UNXD, a curated marketplace for digital luxury and culture. Dolce & Gabbana’s next Alta Moda, Alta Sartoria, and Alta Gioielleria events, which will take place in Venice between August 28 and 30, will include the special pieces. The collection is inspired by the historic city of Venice’s rich creative heritage and customs.
Dress from a Dream is one of the themes that will be included in the collection, and the fashion house has already given a preview of it. It is inspired by a vivid fantasy created by designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. In the weeks leading up to the Alta Moda, Alta Sartoria, and Alta Gioielleria exhibitions, further releases from Collezione Genesi will be revealed.
Clothia is the most recent of a handful of well-known fashion businesses to enter the NFT industry. NFT outfits are put up for auction on Foundation by the online luxury clothes company.
